Our story
Named for seven sages. Judged by seven promises.
Saptarishi is the constellation of seven rishis — the fixed points people have navigated by for centuries. We took the name because a board should be the fixed point in a home.

On the floor
We started as the people taking the complaints.
Before Saptarishi pressed a single sheet, the family sold other manufacturers' boards. That is where the education happened: doors that swelled in a coastal monsoon, kitchen shutters that peeled within two seasons, sheets that arrived a millimetre thick on one edge.
Manufacturing began as a way to fix those specific faults. It is why our process is unusually stubborn about the unglamorous steps — moisture control, chemical treatment at the ply stage, and a calibration pass that most mills skip.
Seven promises
One for each sage.
Seasoned timber only
No green logs. Moisture is controlled before a veneer is ever peeled.
Full Gurjan face
A complete face veneer, not a patched one — so finishes sit clean.
Calibrated thickness
Every sheet sanded to a uniform gauge across its full area.
Treated against pests
Termite and borer treatment applied at the ply stage, not sprayed after.
Weather-proof bonding
Phenolic resin pressed under heat so the layers behave as one board.
Checked by hand
Each panel is OK-checked for flatness and finish before it is stacked.
Answered honestly
If a cheaper board suits your job better, our dealers will tell you so.
